This page is dedicated to Social Networking, a phenomenon with increasing significance. Not only for private use, but Social Networking can change a lot for your business as well! Think about your business reputation, attention for your web site or web shop, expanding your potential business market or the additional reach for spreading information or advertising! In December 2008 I opened a Twitter account (@daepunt) and I’ve been busy linking anything to everything ever since. An example: all posts on my web log automatically get tweeted to Twitter, as well as Facebook, Hyves, LinkedIn, Plaxo and MySpace. As a result the number of visitors on my web log has increased by 1,800%. Think about what this could mean to your company and to your business! I experiment with new technology on a daily basis and I try to avoid double entry by clever use of modern tools. Does your company not have a Twitter account yet? Are your collegues or employees not on LinkedIn yet? Haven’t you yet registered your company as a Company on LinkedIn? Think about the number of people you could reach if you took care of your presence on these social networks and what a big difference this could mean in terms of turnover and profit. You might want to give it a try, because all the networks mentioned above are free of charge!

Last, but not least: It is a personal challenge for me to link all these social networks together, but understand that within a few years from now, it won’t be just about short messages anymore, but about exchanging information between your CRM system, the ERP and financial software, that will require the exact same technology.
